Some projects feel like work, and then some feel like long, rambly Zoom conversations over coffee, the kind where you lose track of time because the ideas and laughter and depth just keep rolling in. Dalton & Breanna? One of those.
Dalton and Breanna are high school sweethearts turned husband-and-wife wedding videography duo. By the time they came to me in January 2024, they had already built something beautiful under the name Unscripted Film Co.—booked out, full-time, known for their deeply personal storytelling. But life was shifting. Bre was on maternity leave, soaking in life with their new baby boy, Avery, and Dalton was steering the ship solo for a bit. They knew it was time for the business to evolve, too.
Enter, our project.
We started where every great transformation does: brand strategy. The name had served them well, but it was time for something more personal, something distinct. I’m a firm believer that creatives — especially those crafting deeply emotional work — don’t need to spell it out. The best brands carry weight in their own name. So we took a step toward differentiation and meaning, renaming their business in a way that felt solely them.
From there, we built out a visual identity that felt like home. Dalton & Breanna already knew their taste, their aesthetic, the kind of art they wanted to create. My job? To translate that into every single piece of their brand. Organic. Nostalgic. Emotive. Artful. Handmade. Every detail needed to hold the same depth and warmth they pour into their films.
Beyond the visuals, we dug into the backbone of their business. We workshopped their offers, refined their messaging, and raised their pricing to match the level of work they were delivering. A huge part of this? Understanding why their clients are obsessed with them. It’s not about the films, really — it’s the experience. The way Dalton & Breanna weave themselves into the day, into the story, into the memories. We built a brand that honored that intimacy.
Then came the website. A digital home that reflects their work in the way it deserves to be seen. We knew this space wasn’t just a portfolio with a contact form — it was an immersive experience, an invitation into their world. And the cherry on top? This site became the blueprint for a website template we’re rolling out this spring (coming soon!).
As a brand director, my job is not just about the visuals and words. The real transformation is in how their business felt to run. We fine-tuned their process, mapping out every touchpoint in the client journey to be high-maintenance so they could be low-maintenance. Every email, every guide, every workflow, every file was designed to give their couples a seamless, elevated experience. HoneyBook? Elevated. Client communication? Elevated.
And at the very end, it simply wasn’t enough to just tie a bow on it and call it done. We launched with intention. Every element of their brand — website, messaging, visuals, workflows — was infused with purpose. At the core of it, this was more than a simple “rebrand”, it was complete evolution, woven into every inch of how they show up.
Dalton & Breanna, it was an absolute joy. Cheers to this new season.
